Lake District here we come!! We went to Lancaster on 25/5/07 and that weekend we spent our time in the Lake District. The view there was spectacular. 26/5 we went to Ullswater (the 2nd largest lake), Windermere (the largest lake) and Ravenglass where we boarded on a steam train to Eksdale-the foot of England highest peak-Scafell. We were on the last trip up there so we didnt manage to 'explore' vicinity of Eksdale.(It is said that Isle of Man can be seen from here on a clear day).
27/5 - went to Coniston (3rd largest lake) and World of Beatrix Potter in Windermere. 28/5 - b4 we went home, took a chance to go round Lancaster city centre and Ashton Memorial (famous park in Lancaster where u can see the whole city from up here). Had a great time and saiful, met 3 of his colleagues from UPM and makan2....sodap...and got new recipes too
